Robert Irwin/James Turrell, Prestel, 75USD

Two artists, one book. Arguably the two most important figures in the West Coast contemporary art movement, the works of the Los Angeles-born James Turrell and Robert Irwin have been consistently lauded for their unique engagements with artistic mediums: Turrell with pure light, and Irwin with a variety of media. The volume chronicles the duo's collaboration for Giuseppe Panza, a prominent modern art collector, who commissioned them to create special installations for his 19th-century mansion ("Villa Panza") in the north of Italy. If only we could all be so lucky.

Rock Covers, Taschen, 69.99USD

Plastered on records, CDs, posters, and t-shirts, rock album art undeniably has a strong aesthetic connection to our collective musical memories. Whether you prefer the prism of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, the minimalism of The Beatles' The White Album, or the turned-away badass motorcyclist of The Who's Quadrophenia, the covers have become iconic representations of our favorite albums. In this far-reaching catalog, over 750 notable album covers of rock music are cataloged and explored, from their backstories and the photographers, illustrators, or art directors that made the magic happen.

Dalí Pop-Ups, Thames and Hudson, 29.99USD

Who said pop-up books were only for children? This amusing and interactive book, produced in association with the Salvador Dalí estate, brings three-dimensional life and layers to the works of the famed surrealist through its innovative paper constructions. Expect some Dalí classics (The Persistence of Memory, Dancer in a Skull) paired with some of his other highly known works (Rose Meditative, The Hallucinogenic Toreador). We'll now be eagerly awaiting the follow-up book featuring Man Ray.

Le Corbusier Le Grand, Phaidon, 59.95USD

When you think of notable figures in 20th-century architecture and design, the first artist to come to mind is usually Charles Edouard Jeanneret, aka Le Corbusier. Characterized by his bald head and signature circular black spectacles, the Swiss-born Le Corbusier created some of the most prolific buildings of the past century, mixing modernistic and complex theories to create remarkably progressive (yet buildable) designs. The chronological volume taps into sketches and photographs of his work, as well as the many events, individuals, and forces that affected his life, to analyze his continuing legacy.

Chihuly: Volume 2, 1997-Present, Abrams, 75USD

Dale Chihuly's virtuoso technicality and creations in the field of glass blowing (baskets, venetians, cylinders, etc.) are  considered to be the best the world has ever seen. A colorful volume of his work beginning in 1997, however, chronicles Chihuly's increasing scale of his work, turning away from smaller designs and instead creating large-scale sculptures and enormous museum exhibitions. The multi-talented artist's foray into the world of architecture and gardens are also showcased.
