The YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund held its 45th Annual Fashion Scholarship Awards Dinner at the Waldorf Astoria. The evening celebrated both emerging and established names in fashion: four recipients won $25,000 Geoffrey Beene National Scholarships (along with four $10,000 recipients and 100 $5,000 recipients), while the event also served to honor Manny Chirico, Chairman and CEO of Phillips-Van Heusen, and Jeff Kantor, President of Merchandising at Macys.com. Visionaire's founders, Cecilia Dean, Stephen Gan, and James Kaliardos, received the first-ever Future of Fashion Award.
