The Wall Street Journal and The Peggy Siegal Company Present a Special New York Screening of Universal Pictures’ 'Savages'

Spotted: Blake Lively in a floorlength butterscotch evening gown at last night's special New York screening of Oliver Stone's latest gangster thriller, Savages. Lively was back in the city—sans any uppercrusty schoolgirl attitude—to celebrate the film, in which she takes on the leading-lady role alongside Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta, Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek, Emile Hirsch, and Demián Bichir.

Once the screening ended and their adrenaline returned to baseline levels, guests including Tyson Beckford, Russell Simmons, Mike Cahill, Rula Jebreal, and many others accompanied the all-star ensemble cast to the newly opened Bagatelle for an after-party hosted by Vitamin Water. Despite the film's savagery, everyone was on their best behavior; we were especially charmed when we witnessed a long, joyful hug between Zosia Mamet and Alex Karpovsky, whose character on Girls took Mamet's character's virginity just a few weeks back. Aw!
