"This is set up for a 3,000-seat stadium," Nur Khan remarked upon seeing the amplifier setup onstage at the Electric Room for Tuesday night's Black Rebel Motorcycle Club performance. The Electric Room's capacity is, well... about 20 times smaller than that. (It was meant to be an intimate performance.)
"It'll go right through your heart," Khan elaborated.
And when the band took the stage well into the late-night hours, they did just that, for the benefit of an audience that included Caitlin Moe and Mia Moretti, Cristina Civetta, Aurelie Claudeo, Harif Guzman, and Michelle and Rico Garcia—the cofounders of brand-new lingerie line Sweetly Inked, for which the show served as a launch party.
