For the first time in history, Paris's most renowned museum beckoned the world to witness an art spectacle that wasn't hung its halls. The Louvre cleared the Denon wing's colonnade to warmly welcome the unveiling of the Salvatore Ferragamo Resort Spring-Summer 2013 Collection. More than 500 guests braved 120 meters of neutral hues, boyish jackets, and reptile skins evocative of the Mediterranean's wild and jagged coastline that inspired Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti's collection. Among those in attendance were Leighton Meester, Hilary Swank, Freida Pinto, and Karolina Kurkova.
Of course, a trip to the Louvre wouldn't be complete without a tour, which the museum duly provided in inviting guests to view the current exhibition, "Saint Anne, Leonardo da Vinci's Ultimate Masterpiece."
