Brazilian artist Rivane Neuenschwander's show at the New Museum is called "A Day Like Any Other" but she made an exception to celebrate the night of her opening of her mid-career retrospective in New York. The New Museum, for its part, has celebrated by theming every event related to its hallowed halls this season after Brazil. That means Havaianas sponsored the VIP Preview and dinner afterward (and gave away custom Wish Bracelet Flip Flops), and patron provided the liquor. Neuenschwander commissioned two chefs, Benedetto Bartolotta and Patric Chriss from Indulge by Bene, to cook separate dinners from a grocery list she found on the floor. (Salt was not on it.) Days might run into one another, but meals are always distinct.
