Last night at Art Basel Miami, investors and power females Wendi Murdoch and Dasha Zhukova toasted their current cause celebre, Art.sy, a start-up founded by Carter Cleveland that intends to be the Pandora of the art world. Think: "If you like this Stingel, you may also like..." The tete-a-tete between Silicon Alley and the absurdist confluence of art, entertainment, and fashion that is Art Basel was bound to yield strange fruit. The scene, in keywords: Sisters Hilton swanning about Soho House's beach-top pop-up lounge as Lyor Cohen and Aby Rosen looked on, mystified. Adrien Brody and Val Kilmer playing the roles of interesting, intelligent actors that are in-town-for-the-art-but-also-for-every-party. Owen Wilson. Naomi Campbell smiling in a corner, being polite. Rachel Chandler smiling in a corner, being polite. Hazy. Boozy. Breezy. As the party drew to a close, all roads led to Florida Room at the Delano, where throngs of Miami party regulars stood in competition with drunk, French, Le Baron habitue. In the end, drinks were thrown and egos wounded, but for those lucky enough to pass muster at the door, a raging party awaited.
