This is the first show of work by Jules de Balincourt after leaving longtime, boom-era gallery Zach Feuer. It was an occasion to reflect on the zany technophilia and community-building that Jeffrey Deitch represents to the city. The painter showed works ranging from the size of a personal computer to monumental proportions. The crowd included a rather loyal stable of Deitch artists, and the twenty-somethings that de Balincourt hosted in his Brooklyn project, STARR Space. In this world, everyone's a star.
