Last night, Christie's and Interview hosted "We had to destroy it in order to save it" Painting in New York in the 1970's. Guests were invited to Christie's Private Sales Gallery for an opening reception and intimate viewing of works, currated by Amy Cappellazzo and Robert Pincus-Witten. The exhibit, open to the public through October 27th, includes pieces from 16 artists including Ellsworth Kelly, Willem de Kooning, Susan Rothernberg, Frank Stella, Blinky Palermo and Jasper Johns.
