2016 Fashion Awards

Iona Wolff

Last night at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the British Fashion Council hosted its annual Fashion Awards. The evening was star-studded, to say the least, with 4,000 guests including Jack Whitehall (who hosted the event), Lady Gaga, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Jared Leto, Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss, Natalie Massenet, Ralph Lauren, Winnie Harlow, Mario Testino, Rankin, and, of course, a slew of British fashion design talent—both emerging and established—from Shrimps' Hannah Weiland to Charlotte Dellal and Alice Temperley. Gigi Hadid was awarded the International Model of the Year prize (her sister Bella was also nominated, as was Kendall Jenner), while Demna Gvasalia won both best International RTW Designer (for Balenciaga) and best International Urban Luxury Brand (for Vetements). Other winners included Alessandro Michele (International Accessories Designer for Gucci), Sarah Burton (British Brand of the Year for Alexander McQueen), Willow and Jaden Smith (New Fashion Icons), Molly Goddard (British Emerging Talent), Simone Rocha (British Womenswear Designer), and Craig Green (British Menswear Designer).
