"It's a great night to be Brazilian," said Lorenzo Martone last night, looking out over the Manhattan skyline from one of the dimly lit alcoves of the Standard Hotel's renowned Boom. "Here we are at the top of the world, after our first Gala at the Metropolitan Museum, and there's no better place to celebrate our eight years than here!" As Chair of the Brazil Foundation's Gala, Martone represented a foundation that has raised over $12.5 million to promote social change and economic advancement in Brazil. Attendees included Anne Hathaway, Jim Carrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Spacey, and of course, Gisele Bundchen.
