Barry Johnston Performance

Yoshua Okon's video/sculpture installation featured a fake company dealing in canned laughter, while Barry Johnston's shamanistic fire performance had a laugh-heavy soundtrack. "We deal in fun," said curator Shamim M. Momin, who co-organized the event.
During Johnston's performance he burned three guitars of descending size, while invoking Nirvana: "Nirvana wrote a part in a song about me," he chuckled into a mic, singing "BA-RRY, BA-RRY YA YA YA YA." The cops showed up at around 1am, probably because the performance featured a bonfire...
