Last night, BMW's North American President, Jim O'Donnell, joined a group of art world luminaries in Manhattan to celebrate the annoucement that Jeff Koons will be responsible for the 17th BMW Art Car. In doing so, Koons will join the ranks of Andy Warhol, David Hockney, Jenny Holzer, Roy Lichtenstein, Frank Stella, Robert Rauschenberg, and Alexander Calder, each of whom created a uniquely tricked-out version of the iconic vehicle over the course of the program's thirty-five years.
