Phoenix's Thomas Mars, playing  a headlining show at a packed Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night, pauses for a moment. Perhaps he was considering what was to come—a surprise two-song set by Daft Punk, which brought the house down. This was the elusive French duo's first live performance since 2007.
