Mad Decent is one of the most promising brands and record labels of today. Always a step ahead of our favorite trendsetters and tastemakers like MIA or Fools Gold, this collective continues to introduce rambunctious young Americans to unimaginable realms of partying. Founded by producer and long-time crate digger, Diplo. They threw their second annual block party on the corner of 12th and Spring Garden St., in the City of Brotherly Love, in front of an old mausoleum that has now been transformed into the label's official headquarters.

It was gentrification at its absolute best! Keeping the tradition of Hollertronix alive by covering almost every genre of music, bringing together individuals from all walks of life, Mad Decent, had DJ sets and live performances by Skerrit Boy, Maluca, POPO, Sega, Toadally Krossed Out, Nadastrom, Dirty South Joe, Brick Bandits, Sammy Slice, and more, creating about ten hours of urban utopia.  I've heard people say that Diplo deserves a lot of things (none of them good), but this week let's keep it positive. Give that man his Grammy: he deserves it! VMA? Deserves it! Senate Seat? Deserves it! They dont call it Mad Decent for nothing
