Exclusive Song Premiere: ‘Chin,’ Sleep Party People

“Chin,” the latest track from dreamy Danish shoegazers Sleep Party People, propels its listener into the illusory state that exists between sleep and consciousness. Punctuated with hypnotic percussion, lilting synths, and crooning alien vocals, “Chin” marks Sleep Party People’s further exploration of lush soundscapes, otherworldly melodies, and eerie ambience. We’re thrilled to debut it here.

With multi-instrumentalist Brian Batz at the helm, the bunny-masked quintet has been likened to fellow Scandinavians Sigur Rós and has focused, thus far, on electric pop blended with ambient instrumentals. With their upcoming LP, We Were Drifting On a Sad Song, Sleep Party People moves to uplift, albeit it in a languid, lulling way, creating an aural dreamscape of fuzzy repose.

WE WERE DRIFTING ON A SAD SONG IS OUT IN THE UK APRIL 9 AND IN THE US APRIL 10. IT’S AVAILABLE FOR PREORDER NOW. FOR MORE ON SLEEP PARTY PEOPLE, VISIT THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE.
