Via Stereogum, we've learned that David Byrne and Fatboy Slim have been collaborating on an album, out April 6, called Here Lies Love. It's dancey tribute album to Imelda Marcos (also know as the Steel Butterfly), the widow of former the former president of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos, featuring an all-star list of musical contributers, including Tori Amos, Cyndi Lauper, Santigold, and Sharon Jones. A little campy, sure, but what would you expect from a musical project in honor of a woman who once had Doris Duke post her $5 million bail? Sample tracks above.
