After months of tight-lippedness on the part of the cast and crew, a trailer for Sofia Coppola's much-anticipated fifth feature, Somewhere (out in December) has been released. Filmed in Italy and at LA's famed Chateau Marmont, the film focuses on the relationship between an aging actor played by Stephen Dorff and his newly un-estranged 11-year-old daughter, played by Elle Fanning. The clip, which features original music from Phoenix, doesn't give us much more information than that. But, as Dorff told Interview last summer, the real thrust of Somewhere, like Lost in Translation and Marie Antoinette, is likely not in the plot. Of working with Coppola, he said, "Her scripts are famously short. She doesn't write everything down and spell it out for the reader; I think she leaves a lot in private."
