In an eerie paper palace, Jacobs' presented exaggerated, Mad Hatter-hats, buckled pilgrim shoes, and brocade and appliqué dresses with full-hipped skirts—perhaps the only aspect of Jacobs clothes that was overtly Marie Antoinette.
