M2M Presents Models Off Book

At the end of last month, WME | IMG launched Made2Measure, a new fashion channel available exclusively via Apple TV. The scheduled content explores both the more serious and whimsical sides of fashion, but make no mistake, M2M is more fashion-as-art than a new VH1. Tea at the Beatrice features conversations between former Interview editor Glenn O’Brien and artists and designers such as Richard Prince, Shepard Fairey, and Proenza Schouler. While Visionaries is dedicated to those challenging the boundaries of fashion including Off White’s Virgil Abloh, Iconic focuses on fashion legends like Marcello Mastrionni. MADE documents the runway shows of young, New York-based designers such as Baja East and Chris Gelinas; whereas Off Book features today’s top models such as Hailey Baldwin and Hanne Gaby Odiele reciting monologues from their favorite books and films.Hanne Gaby Odiele reads from The Little Prince.

In the clip above, Odiele recites a passage from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s Petit Prince.”It just happened,” she explains of her involvement in the series. “I loved the book growing up.” Although Odiele is from Flemish Belgium and speaks French, her monologue is in English. “I think it just happened to be. It wasn’t supposed to be very prepared, so we shot one monologue and then I asked if I could do it in a different language and they liked it,” she continues. While Odiele is not actively pursuing acting, she says, “If the right role comes along, it def would be something fun to do.”
