Incognito revelers such as Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, Waris Ahluwalia, Will Arnett, Charlotte Ronson, Justin Bartha, and Michelle Trachtenberg filled the ballroom: Chilean miners and zombie brides dancing to tunes spun by Lowman and a giraffe-clad DJ Kid America, who mixed classic children's Halloween songs, Nicki Minaj, "Louie Louie," and a clip of "T-Shirt Time" from Jersey Shore. A band of Hasidic Jews, among them Terry Richardson (also a costume contest judge) and Purple Fashion's Olivier Zahm, wandered among partygoers dressed as Charles Manson (Justin Theroux, also a costume contest judge), Patrick Bateman, Daft Punk, and Robyn Berkley of People's Revolution as a spot-on Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman, right down to the condoms tucked into her thigh-high boots.

Though one costume-less and surely non-native naysayer remarked that the party was "great, but it's no L.A.," all other attendees seemed in agreement that the place to be on the spookiest night of the year was nowhere but The Jane. As one Tavi Gevinson doppelgänger, replete with a Stephen Jones pink bow affixed to a blue-gray wig, effused: "Carlos always throws the best parties."
