All day yesterday people wanted to know two things: "Who are LNA?" (a teen fashion line) and "When are you heading to Milk Studios for their party?" (which featured performances by Patti Smith and Metric). Inevitably, the event was called a Patti Smith show, and when she hit the stage the crowd got so tight against the stage that it was hard to breathe. She dedicated the last song, "Because the Night" to Alexander McQueen and told the crowd that when someone dies it is best to "celebrate life, because we've all gotta live!"
