Andy Warhol would have loved smartphones: they're glamorous, compact, cold and connected to Twitter. Now the artist and Interview founder has an app. To create it, the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh teamed with Toura, a platform provider, to create The Warhol Art App. Anyone can have their fifteen minutes, gazing at Warhol's collection, canvases that celebrated celebrity, and the intimate letters, snapshots, films, and sounds that filled Warhol's life. Featuring behind-the-scenes glimpses at over 50 works from the 1920s to late 1980s, including the iconic Silver Clouds (1966), Mao (1972) and Self-Portrait (1986). Available in the iTunes App Store and for Android, Andy's App includes intimate, informed commentary from museum curators on everything from brushstrokes to superstars.
