Any Length: Byron Williams

Los Angeles hair stylist Byron Williams's salon, Byron and Tracey, boasts a lot of starpower. Visit on any given day and you're bound to run into clients like Eva Mendes, Amber Valletta, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, and Drew Barrymore. I asked him to give us his favorite tips for taming short, shoulder length, and long hair. If, like me, you haven't changed your look in a while, you no longer have an excuse!

Short Hair
How to Style: If you have a soft wave (and not a major cowlick), you can let your hair dry naturally with some texture cream or Moroccan oil.  If you want to make your hair straighter, blow dry it with a small round brush. Blow hair from the top downwards to keep the hair shaft flat. Style afterwards with products like texture cream, pomade, or more Moroccan oil. Also, hairspray is a must. If you have longer bangs and you want a more natural texture, try a volume spray with just touch of texture cream. However, be sure to take into account the relative fineness or thickness of your hair.

Who wears it well:  Michelle Williams, Natalie Portman, Halle Berry, and, of course, vintage Mia Farrow

Shoulder Length Hair
How to Style: Natural. If you like your natural wave, allow it to dry and then add texture cream. If you have straight hair and want a little wave, use a curling iron on the bottom half only, bending the curls into a wave. Add volume spray, if needed.

Who wears it well:  Debbie Harry, who has been doing it forever, Nicole Richie, and Gwyneth Paltrow

Long Hair
How to Style: Glamour hair is on-trend. This season, go for more finish and cleaner lengths. Luxurious fullness can be achevied by using a classic round brush or curling iron to even a natural wave. For a bigger look, add volume spray or dry shampoo.

Who wears it well:  Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes

Byron and Tracey Salon is located at 9294 Civic Center Drive in Beverly Hills, C.A.
