When it comes to sex, the British tend to go straight from stammering to smoldering. The public culture allows little distance between Brigitte Jones' Granny-pants and Six Pages' "tits out" cuties in all their glory or Agent Provocateur's upscale smutty kickers. Now comes Stella McCartney, the woman who created blood-lust for vegan fashion, to fill in the gap with a line of vintage-inspired lingerie looks designed around eleven distinct narratives of, as her labels attest, "girls in cheeky situations" such as "Sofia Flashing," "Lauren Whistling," "Bee Spying" or "Amber Chatting." The line's silk, wool, silk georgette, lace, silk chiffon and silk satin bras, briefs, camisoles and chemises are better suited for the Kate Moss crowd than either Kate Middleton or Katie Price.
