News broke today that Sonic Youth will perform an acoustic version of "Starpower" on the fifth episode of Gossip Girl's upcoming third season. While we're not sure what to expect–stories about their wild club days with Lincoln Hawk?–it seems safe to say that the only teenage riots at Constance Billard are prompted by text message blasts. Is this a sign that Gen Y has finally eaten Gen X?
