This is the mural by artist Shepard Fairey on Houston Street and Bowery in New York, just after the artist and a crew of assistants had finished it. The piece is a promotion for May Day, his upcoming show at Deitch Projects. The show, which opens May 1, will be the gallery's last. It's evidently inspired by Soviet-era agitprop, and it all looks so peaceful, doesn't it?
